Sometimes I go down the blog reading rabbit hole. Starting with some super well dressed vintagy lady with great style and a major crafting habit teaching me how to create a beehive hairdo or braid my own friendship bracelet, and the next thing the sun is setting and I’m still in pjs. Okay, that only happened once, but once was enough.
I imagine it’s pretty similiar to playing Playstation for hours, for a time, you’re part of that world. But there are never any blog tutorials on how to get out of the rabbit hole and how to survive an unphotoshopped world of bad hair days and all the unmemorable, unrecordable moments in between. Here’s the thing though, a blog, like a movie, magazine or some one else’s life, isn’t your own. Super well dressed vintagy lady might be really good at living her life well, but it’s hers to live. So here’s what I’m taking from the rabbit hole, to live more consciously, now, with who we are, where we are and what we have. To live with joy and grace and authenticity. Okay, and maybe one or two hand braided friendship bracelets.
Inspired by the rabbit hole here is an untouched picture of my side table this morning. Exactly as it was. The green plastic case holds my mouth guard and the beautiful rose is from the lovely Cara. There wah. Ameezing.
